Elham Paid her Financial Aid Back for Others (November 28, 2008)

On early October we called our Iranian queer alliances to support Elham who needed money for her exit permit from Turkey to Canada. It was a great online fundraising. On the phone conversation Elham said “I will try my best to return this money to IRQR. Because I believe you will help others who are at my situation.”

And now Elham paid it back. She arrived to Canada on October 15^th and she received some financial support from Canadian government. Elham paid her financial aid back to IRQR while Arsham Parsi was in Turkey and we could help other refugees who need support.

We are working on "Refugee Financial Loan" project and we hope that with your support we can start it as soon as possible.
